The third wave of Lunar New Year Festivities in Western Australia this Year of the Horse was undoubtedly the two “transoceanic” Spring Festival Gala performances held on the fourth and fifth days of the Lunar New Year [fireworks]

The Jiangxi Cultural Performance Group, traveling all the way from China, brought the vibrant local culture and refined elegance of their homeland to Western Australia. These two nights of high-quality performances created an electric atmosphere, with the festive spirit reaching off-the-charts levels [firecrackers]

We at Aus-Asia New Arts were honored that our eight sisters could take part and share the stage with such professional artists! Between the dance steps lay connection; within the applause lay resonance. This was not just a performance—it was a cultural embrace that transcended geographical boundaries [rose]

What made it even more special was that this marked the first time our hometown troupe had visited Western Australia—a journey filled with both a sense of mission and deep emotion. Living overseas, being able to use dance as a bridge to stay in tune with our homeland—this precious experience and its significance are definitely worth marking [sun]

As the Year of the Horse gallops on, I feel like I’ve gone for a “ride” with the hometown troupe [grin].
